Well, the recency effect may be kicking in but Whistler is the best North American ski resort just edging out Vail for the big ones. Smaller, romantic spots like Deer Valley, Sun Valley and Telluride offer a different experience but, if you want it all including restaurnats - Eat at Rim Rock Cafe - skiiing - (Ski Blackcomb) and nightlife...Whistler is it. Stay at the Pan American in Town in front of the lifts instead of the overrated Chateau Whistler and isolated Four Seasons. Epic.
