Ad Age has announced that Havas won more net new business than the other big holding companies because although they did not win much, Havas lost less. It is a somewhat whimpering victory. The hot shops seem to still sizzle with Crispin Porter in the USA, Mother and CHI in the UK and Agency.com seeming to drive the agenda. Hard to see how JWT, McCann and Burnett will re-invent themselves. One interesting strategy is Draft taking over FCB and maybe IPG’s RGA (Robert Greenburg) could take over Lowes!

fair enough!

Reinvention comes one client at a time...success has always been about delivering ideas which grow the business...nobody has and ever will have a lock on that market...big or small..above or below the line etc. How to reinvent self...one client at a time.
I would suggest we begin to ask which clients are consistently finding ways to grow their businesses...look at the partners they use and how they partner and I would suggest you begin to see a pattern of consistency...the smart clients want partners who are accountable, vested in the business and who consistently deliver thought leadership and ideas which create sustainable results.
The marketplace, consumer and technology etc. is changing at such a pace that every agency will be in a constant state of reinvention
